Led by Franco-Syrian singer Climène Zarkan and guitarist Baptiste Ferrandis, Sarāb forges a path between post-punk chaos and Arabic poetry. After two albums (Sarāb, released in 2019, and Arwāh Hurra, 2022) and one EP (Qawalebese Tape, 2023), blending jazz and global music influences deeply rooted in the rich musical heritage of the Middle East, the quintet returns in early 2026 with a devastating new record, Mīt Warde – Cent Roses. To the ear, it is a visceral sonic odyssey, where waves of raw rock and techno textures collide with politically charged lyrics and intimate, acoustic tributes to the victims of war.
On stage, Sarāb delivers raw energy: an incantatory voice, maqāmāt, analog synthesizers, and rhythms pushed to the breaking point. After more than 100 concerts across Europe, Canada, and Morocco, Sarāb (meaning “mirage” in Arabic) fully embraces its rock turn while preserving a hybrid identity, somewhere between Rosalía’s autotune and the militant riffs of Rage Against the Machine.
Their new album, Mīt warde – Cent Roses , will be released on February 16, 2026 — a poetic and electric cry at the crossroads of maqām, UK rock, and analog synths. (Release party on February 16, 2026 at La Maroquinerie, Paris).
